Changes to the way you manage orders

We’ve improved the way you handle Thuisbezorgd.nl orders to ensure your food is delivered to customers at its freshest. How are we doing this? Once an order comes in, we will ask you to adjust and confirm your preparation time. Please start cooking only when the receipt is printed, so that we can ensure couriers arrive as soon as the food is ready.

Who is this for?
Our new feature is for those using Thuisbezorgd.nl’s courier service.

Why is this important to my restaurant?

We give you a suggested preparation time and you can adjust it based on your capacity and order size.
Couriers will arrive to pick up the food as close as possible to the preparation time. If couriers arrive as soon as the order is ready, customers will enjoy food from your restaurant at its freshest.

How does it work?

  1. A new order comes in and you confirm the preparation time needed based on your kitchen’s capacity and how large the order is.
  2. Once you’ve done that, the order moves to the ‘NEW section’. No need to start cooking yet as a courier is waiting to be assigned.
  3. You will receive a notification that the pick-up time is confirmed
  4. Once a courier has been assigned the order will move to ‘KITCHEN’.
  5. The receipt will be printed out automatically.
  6. Now it’s time to start cooking.

FAQs

Q: When do I start cooking?
A: Please start cooking only when the order moves to ‘Kitchen’. The receipt will be printed automatically.

Q: I confirmed an order but the receipt did not print. What should I do?
A: The receipt will only print after the order moves to ‘Kitchen’. The receipt can also be printed manually via ‘Order Details’.

Q. What happens if an order is canceled?
If an order is cancelled, you will receive a notification. The order will then disappear from the list.

Q: How long does it take for a courier to be assigned after an order comes through?
A: It will typically take no more than 20 minutes for a courier to be assigned to an order.

Q: Can I change the preparation time after I confirm the order?
A: Unfortunately, that feature is not yet possible so please make sure to select the correct preparation time before you press confirm.

Q: The order was ready at the pickup time confirmed on my device, but I’m still waiting for a courier? What should I do?
A: One of our couriers will be with you shortly. If you’re still waiting after a while please contact our Customer Service team.
