As a leading online food delivery marketplace, we have the power to influence the industry for the better. That’s why we work hard to bring new initiatives that will empower our employees, both couriers and office staff alike, and create an inclusive and diverse environment where everyone feels like they truly belong.
At the end of 2021, we employed thousands of couriers – either directly or through employment agencies. We offer flexible contracts with an hourly salary above minimum wage, as well as employment insurance, holiday pay, social security contributions and more. We’ve even set up a unique bonus scheme to help our couriers bring in extra cash when they work at busy times.
In our Hubs, we have bikes and e-bikes our couriers can use for their shifts. Thanks to our in-house mechanic, they’re kept in the best condition possible for a smooth and safe ride. When couriers use their own bikes, we offer extra mileage allowance to help them keep their wheels in top shape.
We also provide free bags, locks, helmets, winter jackets and waterproof gear, so our couriers can hit the road safely at all times and in all weather.
And because road safety is our first priority, we organise vehicle training at onboarding and recently introduced new driving initiatives and training programmes to ensure our couriers have all the knowledge they need to stay safe while delivering orders.
We know being a courier might not be everyone’s final destination. That’s why we organised a survey in 12 countries, asking our staff how we could best help them further their career. The result? A dedicated programme designed to support our couriers in personal development, opening new doors for them and broadening their career opportunities with us in the process.
