Where do your shifts start as a Thuisbezorgd Courier?
All couriers start their shift from a predefined location, which generally is a busy location in your city, close to restaurants and stores. Once your shift ends, you can immediately go home after delivering your last order.
How to choose your Thuisbezorgd delivery vehicle
The vehicle type you choose depends on a few factors. These include the type of vehicle you already own, if a company lease vehicle will be available for you to use in the city you want to deliver in, and on which vehicle types we’re hiring for at any given moment. The vehicle types available to deliver on in the Netherlands include:
Bike
E-bike
Scooter
Car
To deliver with Thuisbezorgd, you will need your own vehicle in most cases. In some cases, it may be possible to lease a vehicle provided by the company. You can speak to your recruiter for more information on what options are available to you in your city.
Am I insured when I deliver for Thuisbezorgd.nl?
Couriers using motorized vehicles, such as cars or scooters, must have their own insurance to deliver with Thuisbezorgd.nl. Couriers using bikes or e-bikes are provided with third-party liability insurance by us.
What are the KM allowances for delivery vehicles?
Couriers in the Netherlands receive a KM allowance for the distance they cover while delivering orders. Below is a breakdown of the mileage allowances per vehicle type.

Examples:
If you use your own scooter and have an 6-hour contract, based on the average distance for a scooter per hour, you'd get €66a month as KM allowance. The actual KM allowance is based on the actual driven distance
If you use your own car and have a 16-hour contract, based on the average distance for a car per hour, you'd get €203 a month as KM allowance. The actual KM allowance is based on the actual driven distance.
